I’ve heard about the benefits of good coffee, but in specific I saw a show on tv that said fresh roasted and Ground Coffee was REALLY good for you (in moderation of course). Does anyone have further info on this, or know anything about what benefits it brings?

I have lived in my house for 13 years and never once have I had any bugs except Ants seasonally. The last two times I bought Startbucks fresh ground coffee I saw and killed two roaches in my coffee brewing area, ONLY! This has been very disturbing to me. I was wondering if anyone else that buys Ground Coffee from Starbucks has ever experienced this.
I have never had that experience and I buy a lot of fresh ground coffee from my local Starbucks. I would call them or take the coffee back to where I bought it and ask for either fresh coffee or my money back.

What is the difference in the nomenclature and why is it so?
Coffee in the can is called Ground Coffee but the spent coffee is referred to as coffee grounds.
Simple , before it’s made the emphasis is on the coffee, thus ground coffee or Coffee Beans, etc. (if it was banana it would be peeled banana)
After it is made what is left is waste. The fact that the waste is from making coffee is secondary, thus coffee grounds…. emphasis on the bits and pieces. (if it was banana it would be banana peels)
even though I won’t buy their coffee because of their poor customer service, they have this coffee called Arabian Mocha Java. Is this Flavored Coffee or is it naturally chocolaty. Thanks.

As far as I can see, this is a blend of 2 diff types of coffee’s that give this a "chocolate" overtone. meaning…it is not flavored, but rather when sipping, you will experience the smell & taste of chocolate. Much like coffee can also have overtones of blueberry (w/out flavoring being added)…..which is just fascinating BTW…..this coffee will be distinct in choc tones. I’m sure you have read the description, but here it is anyway! It appears as if Peets doesn’t even fool w/ flavored coffee? Best of all to you.
$10 lb how many lbs. of sumatra and how many lbs. of arabian Coffee Beans should u use?

You can always use algebra for this, but one easier way to reason it out is to think about how far from the $10 average your two varieties are. The $12 coffee is $2 away from the desired price, while the $4 coffee is $6 away from the target price. That means that in order to get an average price of $10, you have to have three times as much of the $12 coffee.
Given that you have a total weight of 20 lbs, the only way to do this is to have 15 lbs of the arabian and 5 lbs of the sumatra.

I drink strong unFlavored Coffee without problem.I can use flavored cream at home – again, no problem. The problem arises when I drink flavored coffee from a cafe. I’ve tried opting out of whipped cream (at places like Starbucks), but that didn’t help. The flavoring seems to be the only logical culprit, but I’ve never seen anyone else comment on this as a problem.
Do you mean that you are drinking things like lattes at coffee shops?
If you are, your stomach is probably not used to that much sugar and milk at the same time. How fast you drink them also plays a factor in this.
So as a gift when I was broke, a friend gave me french vanilla coffee because he knew I was a caffeine addict. That was great, but now I can afford to get my favorite, French Roast, again. Problem is, it seems my coffeemaker is permanently flavored like stale french vanilla now! Help!
You’ll have to clean out your coffee maker. You can either do it by running a diluted vinegar mixture through or buying a solution in the store. You actually run it through your maker and then do a few run throughs with just plain water and it cleans your coffee maker. If you still have the instructions, read up on how to clean your machine specifically.

Actually they roast the coffee normally and then they add the flavoring later. If you check out http://www.coffeecaffeine.com/flavors/index.html you will have to scroll down but they show a video of how flavoring is added when they mix up a load of Flavored Coffees.
Enjoy the flavoring but it is not roasted with the bean, it is added later.
With Starbucks being closed for 3 1/2 hours today and Dunkin Doughnuts offering $.99 coffee how many customers is Starbucks business are they going to lose for good? If everyone tries Dunkin Doughnuts coffee today and even if only a few people think it is good Starbucks could lose a LOT of customers.
They already are loosing customers, that’s why their closing their shops when it isn’t their peak hours. They, along with the whole american economy is suffering.
However I could really care less about them, I make my own coffee.
